Creating a new project¶

Create Project¶

If you haven't yet added an project to your dashboard, the first screen you see will ask you to add one. To add additional projects after the first, go to the All Projects page, and click the Create Project button.

Then, follow the steps below to create a project to your account.

Note

* Only admins and account users with the necessary permissions are able to create projects.
* As you follow the steps for creating a project (below), the available options will vary depending on the previous options you've selected.

#1 – Details¶

Project Name¶

Enter the name of the project which suits your naming conventions.

Website URL¶

Enter the URL of the website to which this project belongs. You can leave this blank if you do not have the website available.

Category¶

Select the category of the project. Currently, we support games, apps, and websites.

Genre¶

Please select the appropriate genre based on the chosen category. We have a predefined genre for each category. Select "other" option from the list if you do not find your genre.

#2 – Database Storage¶

Primary Region¶

Select the primary region for your project's database. One region must be set as a primary region for a multi-region database.

GEO Replication¶

By default, GEO replication is enabled. You can turn off this setting if you do not wish to replicate your data all across the world. You can select or deselect the replication regions as per your requirements.

#3 – Content Storage¶

Storage Type¶

Select the Storage type Standard Storage - This uses a standard HDD for asset storage and has low read/write latency as compared to Premium Storage Premium Storage - This is a high-performance SSD for asset storage.

Main Storage Zone¶

Select the main storage zone for your project's asset storage. One region must be set as the primary region for a multi-region database.

GEO Replication¶

By default, GEO replication is enabled. You can turn off this setting if you do not wish to replicate your assets all across the world. You can select or deselect the replication zones as per your requirements.

Note

Each datacenter only stores a single replica of the data on a RAID 6 storage configuration. To achieve a 99.999999999% durability of objects we recommend enabling at least one additional replication region. Each additional replication region further reduces the chance of data loss.

#4 – Content Delivery¶

CDN Type¶

By default, it will select Standard CDN. To select Premium CDN, you need to upgrade to the Pay as you go plan.
Standard - Aimed at cost-sensitive global high-bandwidth solutions, the volume tier offers the best price-performance ratio by utilizing a smaller set of high-performance PoPs
Premium - exceptional global latency aimed at high-performance solutions where every millisecond matters.

Troubleshooting¶

Find solutions for some common issues:

Project wasn't added

If this error occurs, contact your CSM or create support case

Project is showing Draft Status after completing all steps

If you have completed all the steps but still its showing Draft status then please create a support case. Our support team will help you get project setup

Something went wrong

If you see this error, it means our API has failed due to multiple external dependencies. You can retry the same action. Alternatively, you can exit the page and complete the remaining steps by editing the project.
