What is Virtual Currency?¶

App economy refers to the systems and mechanics within a app that manage and regulate the distribution, acquisition, and consumption of in-app resources, items, currency, and other virtual assets. Just like real-world economies, app economies are designed to create balance and engagement, as well as encourage users to participate in various activities within the game. Related reading:

Setting up a virtual currency¶

1. Open Project in the Portal and select Economy on the left sidebar.
2. Select the Currency tab, and select Add Currency
3. To create your virtual currency, edit these fields:
   Add Currency code (2 uppercase characters).
   Add Display name
   
4. Select SAVE CURRENCY.
